Project summary
The project of the construction of Grozny International University is being implemented by the developer SMART BUILDING, LLC in the Leninsky district of the Chechen Republic capital Grozny city. The university will become one of the most modern in Russia and will meet all the requirements and standards of higher education. The creation of a new world-class university in the Republic became possible thanks to the Head of the Republic Ramzan Kadyrov who stated at the groundbreaking ceremony: "The challenge before us is to raise the level of Grozny International University up to the top ten universities in the world. It is supposed to prepare high-level specialists of science-intensive occupations. We are sure that the new higher educational institution will become a talent foundry for training specialists for the whole of Russia."
A distinctive feature of the Project is a unique integrated approach to the construction of higher education institutions of world level. The architectural concept developed by the architectural and engineering company Arif & Bintoak International is the creation of a whole campus that will include three academic buildings, a male and female dormitory, a refectory, a medical center, a health center with a swimming pool, fitness and spa, an assembly hall, sports outdoor areas, cafes and shops. Thus, all conditions for study, sports, work and rest for students and teachers will be created in Grozny International University. Considerable attention is paid to creating a barrier-free environment for disabled people. All facilities of the University are equipped with means of ensuring accessibility for people with limited mobility, including dormitories with rooms for people with disabilities on the ground floors.
University will prepare specialists in several areas, which are among the top requested on the modern labor market. It is supposed to found four departments: Architectural department, IT department, management and business department. Moreover, English Language Centre will operate as well. The academic team will be international and will include leading representatives of Russian and world science and education.
Together with world-renown foreign companies, Russian companies also take part in University construction. The creator of the architectural concept is «Arif & Bintoak International» (UAE), project consultant is «Eagle Hills Properties» (UAE), project design engineer is Chechenproekt, LLC, the general contractor for construction is Chechenstroy, LLC.
